Anais Duran has enjoyed a four-year tenure at the Raben Group and is currently a Senior Associate. She has served here in various capacities including as a Staff Assistant and Associate. Anais works on a wide range of issues, mostly revolving health matters. Over the years, she’s developed an expertise in developing and managing projects on the Hill. Her portfolio at Raben also includes third party engagement, coalition building and lobbying.
Anais has executed major lobby days and briefings for The Center for Reproductive Rights, Breast Cancer Prevention Partners and the Center for Science in the Public Interest, to name a few. She has helped advance client issues in the DC Council and in Congress, especially on behalf of Compassion and Choices. Most recently, she helped build a coalition to advocate against sexual assault in the military.
For many years, in her own capacity, Anais has helped mobilize advocates around reproductive health issues. She is an alumni of the Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington Developing Leaders Program.
A native of Los Angeles County, Anais received a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, triple majoring in feminist studies, sociology and Spanish. She is a proud sister of Lambda Theta Nu Sorority Inc., an organization that builds the rising generation of Latina leaders.
