Andrew Currier is a senior associate graphic designer in The Raben Group’s media & communications practice. He leads the firm in crafting and implementing graphic design into projects that create impact, elevate community, and promote tangible change. With many years of experience in visual design, nonprofit advocacy, and communications, Andrew has spent his career working for the highest good of others through design.
Andrew has extensive experience working with nonprofits and companies in Ohio, Washington, DC, and New York City. Organizations he has worked with have focused on immigration and refugee rights, affordable housing, and criminal justice reform. Before joining Raben, Andrew served as a digital communications associate for the Council of State Governments Justice Center, creating clear and concise designs to push bipartisan policy changes in the criminal justice field. He previously served as the graduate assistant for the communications and history departments at Malone University, his alma mater, creating engaging recruitment systems for potential students.
Andrew began his communications career at Habitat for Humanity International, working with the Solid Ground campaign, advocating for legal changes in affordable housing in countries worldwide. He also served as the primary social media coordinator for the International Institute of Akron, serving refugees resettled in Akron, Ohio. Andrew is passionate about affordable housing, public transportation initiatives, grant funding for underserved communities, and inclusivity in media.
Andrew earned a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership and a bachelor’s degree in Communications with focuses on Public Relations, History, and Spanish, from Malone University. He is an avid runner, traveler, and thrift shopper/reseller.
