Brad Bauman is a principal in The Raben Group’s Strategic Communications practice area, where he brings decades of experience and leadership in progressive communications, causes, and campaigns to the team.

Before joining Raben, Brad was at Fireside Campaigns, where he helped grow the company from a three-person operation in 2018 to a full-service communications shop with more than 70 employees in 2022. He is the former executive director of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, where he oversaw its legislative, communications, and political operations for over 80 members of Congress. Brad also served as the communications director for various members of the House and Congressional campaigns, most notably Congressman Tim Ryan and Congresswoman Mary Jo Kilroy.

Brad has developed communications and PR strategies for electoral and issue campaigns at every level. He’s worked as a senior advisor for several Presidential campaigns, party committees, large progressive organizations, independent expenditure campaigns, and labor unions, as well as resistance groups, and issue advocacy organizations. Brad handled some of the most challenging crisis communications problems during the Trump era and is a trusted voice among Democratic operatives.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Florida International University and a master’s degree in Political Management from The George Washington University.
