Carolyn Pruitt is a senior associate at The Raben Group, providing clients in California, Washington, and Texas with strategic communications, impact media, and advocacy support. Since joining Raben, Carolyn has worked with YouTube to coordinate social impact initiatives; assisted The Children’s Partnership in developing new organizational messaging; and provided media relations and communications support to clients such as the Campaign for College Opportunity, Essie Justice Group, and the TIAA Institute.
Carolyn helps clients develop communications and social media plans, informs their messaging and branding needs, and garner media attention at the local, state, and national levels. Her clients have been featured in The Hill, the Sacramento Bee, and USA Today.
Prior to joining Raben, Carolyn worked at the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority as a communications specialist where she coordinated social media, secured coverage in local and national media outlets, and oversaw the volunteer engagements and recruitment strategy for the agency’s annual Homeless Count. Before that, Carolyn worked as a public relations coordinator at Ginsberg/Libby, a boutique PR firm specializing in film and TV award campaigns.
She holds a master’s degree in Entertainment Industry Management from Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz School of Public Policy as well as a bachelor’s degree in History from Tufts University.
