As an Associate at The Raben Group, Chesley works with a range of clients to improve the effectiveness of their issue campaigns and help elevate their impact on Capitol Hill.
Prior to joining Raben, Chesley spent time with the American Institutes for Research (AIR) where he assisted principal researchers in the drafting and editing of congressionally mandated reports on education in the United States. He also helped to complete annual reports and analysis for the National Center for Educational Statistics (NCES). Chesley interned at the White House in the Office of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs under the Private Sector Outreach Liaison and Latino Outreach Liaison in the Obama administration, and he interned on Capitol Hill for Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC). On the local level, he’s worked with District of Columbia Councilmember Kenyan R. McDuffie.
Chesley is a 2017 graduate of Indiana University with a BS in Policy Analysis. While at the University he re-established its long-dormant NAACP chapter and he co-chaired the Diversity Excellence Committee under the auspices of the Provost, which informed the university’s strategic planning efforts.
