Daniel Forkkio is the Director of Finance at The Raben Group. He is responsible for the overall financial reporting, analysis, compliance, and oversight of the financial management of the firm. Daniel has over 8 years of history in nonprofit finance, primarily working with advocacy and grantmaking organizations. Time and time again, Daniel has established reporting mechanisms, compliance protocols, and modernized the financial management systems of various entities.
Previously, Daniel worked for the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation as the Accounting Manager, managing a grant portfolio of over $1.3B in funding from a variety of public and private sources. His experience includes federal award compliance and reporting, accounting information system implementation, nonprofit financial management and strategy, budgeting, and financial statement preparation.
An aspiring writer and lifelong Maryland native, Daniel specializes in bringing financial discipline to non-financial professionals. At a previous employer, he wrote and directed a cartoon animation which discussed the importance of financial reporting and budgets which was widely circulated throughout the organization. He currently holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting and an MBA from UMUC.
