Dupé O. Ajayi believes in the power of communications for good; that has and will continue to be a throughline of her practice. A strategist with proven success creating, launching, and nurturing integrated campaigns which capture and ignite audiences, she is a director in The Raben Group’s Impact Entertainment practice area.
Before joining Raben, Dupé honed her skills as a storyteller and marketer in various capacities at Warner Records, ABC News, MTV, and BET. She also was a consultant to corporate, nonprofit, and governmental agencies including the Brooklyn Public Library, Bank of America, The City of New York, Target, Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality, Starbucks, Mary J. Blige, and Rent the Runway’s Project Entrepreneur.
Part of the founding team, Dupé served as senior strategist handling Intersectional Marketing and Partnerships for The Shed, a multidisciplinary arts center which commissions, produces, and presents a wide range of activities in performing and visual arts as well as pop culture for all audiences. There, she was charged with ensuring The Shed was a radically welcoming institution by cultivating symbiotic collaborations.
Dupé is a graduate of Hunter College where she earned a degree in Communications and is credentialed by New York University in Public Relations and Marketing for Nonprofits. She is a Nigerian American who grew up in Brooklyn, New York.
