Emily Batts

Emily Batts is an associate in The Raben Group’s Issue Campaigns practice area, where her experience analyzing metrics, engaging with traditional and social media, and making connections across disciplinary boundaries help her clients successfully create a culture shift.

Before joining Raben, Emily interned at Doyle, Barlow & Mazard PLLC, where she researched and provided support for regulatory filings. Additionally, she also represented Doyle, Barlow & Mazard at legal and community panels and helped the firm with submissions to the International Trade Commission. Emily previously helped YouthINC implement its metrics program, which measured a core set of research-based social-emotional learning outcomes that are correlated with academic and overall success. She also interned with Representative James E. Clyburn (D-S.C.) in his Washington, D.C. office. There, Emily researched issues and prepared memoranda for the staff, responded to constituent inquiries, and assisted with briefings.

Emily holds a bachelor’s degree in Global Liberal Studies with a minor in French from New York University. She spent her senior year of high school in Viterbo, Italy with a host family and studied abroad in Paris during college. A proud member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, in her spare time, she enjoys catching up with friends, playing fetch at the beach with Charlotte — her chocolate lab (who seems to be under the impression that she’s a lap dog) — creating fashion mood boards on Pinterest, and traveling to learn about different cultures and their specialty foods.
