Emily Napalo Cavanaugh



Emily is the Operations Director for Move to End Violence, a decade-long operational program of the NoVo Foundation that is run out of The Raben Group.

She joined The Raben Group in 2009 as an associate working for the NoVo Foundation, as well as other clients focused on women, gender, and sexual/reproductive health & rights.

Move to End Violence brings together extraordinary leaders working to end violence against all girls and women in the United States and provides support to them, their organizations, and others to help envision and align around new ways of moving forward. As Operations Director, Emily supports the program’s development, design, and administration, in addition to taking on special projects. Relying on her relationship and execution strengths, the Move to End Violence team refers to Emily as the “conductor” – making sure all of the trains run on time.

Emily is a member of Core Align’s second round of Innovation Labs and participated as a fellow in the National Coalition for Research on Women’s program, Building the Next Generation of Women Leaders in the Nonprofit Sector.

A magna cum laude graduate of Georgetown University, Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts in women and gender studies with a minor in French. She currently lives in Oakland, California with her husband and dog and enjoys music, dance, studying social movements, and meditation.
