As an Associate, Kara contributes a creative lens to research, communications, and advocacy for clients including the Friends of the American Latino Museum, Hadassah, and the March on Washington Film Festival.
Kara helped execute and served as logistics manager for the Raben Respite, a two-day event featuring six-panel discussions in conjunction with the Democratic National Convention to convene big thinkers and progress makers to discuss policy challenges in new ways. A quick hand with graphic design, creative solutions, and meticulous organizing skills, Kara also incorporates her experience in community organizing and legislative knowledge on Capitol Hill to many of her teams.
Prior to joining The Raben Group, Kara was the Staff Assistant for Congresswoman Dina Titus, where she managed front office operations and constituent services. She also interned for Congressman Mark Pocan (D-WI) where she helped manage the constituent mail program, conduct legislative research, and assist with constituent services.
As an undergraduate student, Kara helped educate and organize voters on campus and throughout the larger Madison community as a Fellow for Mary Burke’s gubernatorial campaign in Wisconsin. She also provided strategic communications research and planning as an intern for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin.
Kara received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a double major in Political Science and Latin American Studies.
