Sara Lueders is a director in The Raben Group’s Media and Communications practice area, bringing experience in strategic communications, storytelling, crisis management, and media relations.
Prior to joining Raben, Sara served as an account lead at RALLY, a strategic communications firm based in Los Angeles. There, she worked on issue areas that she is deeply passionate about, including reproductive rights, criminal justice reform, gun violence prevention, and racial justice. Notably, Sara led strategic and corporate communications for GoFundMe, working to elevate crowdfunding campaigns through a national and local press strategy and developing an organizational plan for GoFundMe to become more politically engaged in the issues their donors care about.
With extensive knowledge of the reproductive justice space, Sara managed a diverse portfolio of clients in this area, including NARAL Pro-Choice America, Essential Access Health, The David and Lucile Packard Foundation’s Quality Innovation Challenge, and a messaging research project around abortion access in rural Louisiana. She has secured top tier media hits for clients in local and national print, online, and broadcast outlets including The Washington Post, The New York Times, Buzzfeed, Boston Globe, USA Today, MSNBC, CNN, Roland Martin, The Today Show, Good Morning America, and Univision.
Before entering the world of issue advocacy, Sara worked at Edelman, where she held a variety of nonprofit, corporate, and entertainment clients including the Movember Foundation, the Television Academy Foundation, Ticketmaster, and Redbox.
Sara earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media Studies, and Political Science from Northeastern University in Boston and currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
