Sarah Davey Wolman brings extensive campaign, government, and corporate communications experience to her work as a director in The Raben Group’s Media and Communications practice area.

Before joining Raben, Sarah served as a regional press secretary on the Florida team for the Biden for President campaign. There, she executed virtual and in-person media events with surrogates including Dr. Jill Biden, Doug Emhoff, and Pete Buttigieg. As the communications lead for the Palm Beach region, she worked directly with the campaign’s regional political, organizing, and voter protection directors to ensure that the campaign’s message was disseminated through all possible avenues and that the teams were acting in a coordinated manner.

Previously, Sarah served as communications director to Congressman Jimmy Panetta (D-Calif.), where she created and implemented successful media strategies from scratch, provided extensive media training, and cultivated a strong social media presence for the Congressman. Sarah also secured appearances for the Congressman on local and national outlets including MSNBC, CNN, FOX, ABC, NPR, Univision, and Telemundo, and in publications including The New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Reuters, the Atlantic, Foreign Policy, Yahoo, San Francisco Chronicle, and the Los Angeles Times.

In 2016, Sarah worked for the Hillary for America campaign as a communications deputy in the state headquarters in New Hampshire. There, she coordinated and managed press coverage of special events attended by the candidate and top-tier surrogates, including Vice President Joe Biden, President Barack Obama, and President Bill Clinton.

Sarah started her career at a strategic advisory firm Beacon Global Strategies. One of the first hires at the new company, she helped to launch the firm and to develop the branding, team dynamics, and client services that made it a success. Sarah also interned in First Lady Michelle Obama’s communications office at the White House and at the Department of Homeland Security.

Sarah earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics, and Government from American University. A native of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, she lives with her husband in Washington, D.C.
