Steve Sereno is a senior associate in Raben's Government Affairs & Policy Counsel practice, where he supports a diverse range of clients in their congressional engagement, advocacy efforts, and strategic development.

At Raben, Steve works on a variety of issues, including Latino advocacy, criminal justice reform, financial services, the federal judiciary, and social media and tech policy. He is passionate about empowering historically marginalized communities and using his experiences and skills in writing and research to advocate for a more just future.

While attending The University of Texas at Austin, Steve was an advocate for his community, where he spearheaded the launch of a large-scale capital campaign to combat food insecurity on his campus, lobbied both state and federal congressional leaders on DACA reform and higher education policy, and was a mentor to Title 1 East-Austin high school students. He is an alumnus of the Archer Fellowship Program, where he interned at Raben during the Spring of 2020.

Steve earned his bachelor’s degree in Government and a certificate in Business & Public Policy from The University of Texas at Austin. He was born around Miami, Florida, and raised in Dallas, Texas, and consequently, his sports loyalties are divided amongst the two cities. In his free time, Steve enjoys a good New York Times crossword, staying active, reading, and exploring the food scene wherever he ventures out.
