Sydney Olay is an associate in The Raben Group’s Government Affairs & Policy Council Group. She brings a strong research and writing background to help her corporate and nonprofit clients succeed.
Before joining Raben, Sydney worked as a staff assistant for Senator Alex Padilla (D-Calif.), assisting with foreign affairs, defense, and veterans affairs issues. While working for the senator, she also took on many operational roles, specifically managing the entire internship program. Before working in the Senate, she interned in Congressman Ted Lieu’s (D-Calif.) district office, where she solidified her interest in public policy.
Sydney was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She attended the University of Southern California, receiving a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and minoring in Entrepreneurship. She loves thrift shopping, trying new restaurants, and drinking matcha lattes in her free time.
