Vanessa Hidalgo is an associate in the Issue Campaigns & Movements practice area at Raben. With a background in communications, journalism, and research, she supports clients as they arrive at their definition of success while centering inclusivity, strategy, and creativity.

Before joining Raben, Vanessa was a contributor for STUDDED magazine and a political science research assistant at Texas A&M University; Both positions allowed her to indulge in her passion for writing and desire to learn about the political sector. As an undergraduate student, Vanessa served as the communications and marketing director for Latinos Logradores, a mentorship program for first-generation Latino/a students and one of the largest organizations at the university. As a first-generation college student herself and an avid believer in the invariable value of education, this experience solidified Vanessa’s desire to pursue a career that would allow her to advocate for the Latino community.

Vanessa graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in International Studies and a minor in Spanish. A native of Chihuahua, Mexico, Vanessa understands the value of good food — which is why cooking takes the gold as her favorite and most rewarding hobby. She also loves to read, write, cook, podcast, and exercise.
