Our Work

Raben joined forces with the film team to develop and implement the #ALLINFORVOTING impact campaign to accompany the film. #ALLINFORVOTING aims at educating and registering first-time voters, mobilizing communities to turn out to vote, and training citizens to know their rights and report voter suppression.

The campaign is ongoing, most recently supporting partners in Georgia who focused on voter registration and mobilization during the January 2021 runoff election as well as continuing to expand its Grow a Voter educational initiatives with teachers and students. The Grow A Voter efforts include standards aligned curriculum and lesson plans in English and Spanish which has been shared with over 1 million teachers. The campaign also placed 20 ALL IN Teacher Ambassadors across Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin specially compensated to train other teachers on utilizing the film and lesson plans in the classroom.

The campaign also includes capacity building grantmaking for organizations working to mobile voters. To date, the campaign has made grants to 14 local organizations in 10 states (Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin) with higher voter restrictions to build capacity to further the efforts of non-partisan grassroots organizations working to register, educate and mobilize voters specifically people of color and young people. Together, these 14 grantees registered over 225,000 people to vote and engaged over 8.6 million voters with information on the voting process through canvassing, phone calls, and virtual events.

Other outreach efforts include the the #ALLINFORVOTING bus tour which partnered with 55 organizations, hosted 21 socially distanced outdoor community screenings, and shared voter information with thousands along the way; get out the vote messaging and the Election Protection Hotline via mobile billboards leading into election day in that reached reached more than 1 million people in Georgia, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina; a microgrant program engaged 20 BIPOC artists to create art pieces aimed at driving GOTV efforts, particularly among young people; and a voting action hub that engaged more than 62,000 individuals – many of whom utilized the hub to register to vote, request an absentee ballot, to volunteer with on-the-ground voter engagement focused organizations, and to learn more about when/how/where to vote.

A centerpiece of the campaign organized by Raben is the 50 State Ambassador program to engage influencers including Viola Davis, Camila Cabello, Don Cheadle, Eva Longoria, Janelle Monae, Billy Porter, Gabrielle Union, and Seth MacFarlane in sharing voting information for their assigned state with their communities – an effort that reached an estimated 80 million people. Raben also developed a 4 part animated youth explainer series with voiceover by Jonathan Van Ness, Gabby Sidibe, Candice Patton, and AnnaSophia Robb and lead efforts to engage partners from across the civic engagement movement including: ACLU, Black Voters Matter, Fair Fight, Headcount, Higher Heights of America, LUCHA, Rock the Vote, Southern Poverty Law Center, Voto Latino Foundation, and When We All Vote.
